ChatGPT message limit
OpenAI does not publish one universal message limit for every account. When a reset is available, ChatGPT shows it in the product.
ChatGPT free limit
Free text chat is unlimited with GPT-5.6 Luna, while uploads, image generation, voice, deep research, memory and context, Codex, and ChatGPT Work are limited with no fixed public counts from OpenAI. OpenAI’s own pricing page says unlimited text chats are subject to abuse guardrails. So ChatGPT without limits only applies to everyday text chat, not every model or tool on the Free plan.
